About Dr. Amit Kapoor

Amit Kapoor, MD, MBA is a highly trained and experienced medical professional at ARA Integrative and Functional Medicine in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, serving the Philadelphia Main Line, Delaware County, Chester County, and surrounding areas. Dr. Kapoor is board-certified in Nephrology and Hypertension and has been in clinical practice for over 20 years.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Kapoor holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care Management, giving him a deep understanding of how health systems, insurance companies, and the pharmaceutical industry operate. Throughout his career, he has cared for thousands of patients suffering from advanced-stage disease, often with limited treatment options and diminished quality of life. These experiences shaped his strong belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to positively influence their health earlier in the disease process, before irreversible complications develop.

Dr. Kapoor has completed advanced training through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) in Endocrine and Cardiometabolic Health. He brings a unique blend of traditional medical expertise and integrative, preventive care to his patients. As part of the ARA Integrative and Functional Medicine team, Dr. Kapoor focuses on cardiovascular health and men’s health, including the responsible and closely supervised use of testosterone replacement therapy under direct medical care.

Dr. Kapoor views medicine as a partnership and is committed to empowering his patients with the knowledge, tools, and personalized care they need to live longer, healthier, and more productive lives.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kapoor is a devoted husband and father of three boys. In his spare time, he enjoys playing pickleball, cheering on his beloved Eagles and Sixers with his sons, and traveling the world with his wife.

My Message

Amit Kapoor, MD

My approach to medicine is grounded in prevention, clinical rigor, and long-term outcomes. Throughout my career, I have seen the consequences of delayed intervention—particularly in cardiovascular disease and metabolic dysfunction—conditions that often develop silently over many years. These experiences reinforced my commitment to practicing preventive medicine that is proactive, data-driven, and individualized.

As I join ARA Integrative and Functional Medicine, my clinical focus is on cardiovascular risk reduction through early identification of modifiable risk factors, comprehensive metabolic evaluation, and evidence-based intervention. Preventing disease progression requires attention not only to traditional markers, but also to hormonal balance, inflammation, insulin resistance, and lifestyle contributors that significantly influence long-term cardiovascular health.

When male hormone replacement therapy is appropriate, I prescribe and manage it using established clinical guidelines, careful patient selection, ongoing laboratory monitoring, and close supervision to ensure both safety and efficacy.

My goal is to deliver medicine that is precise, preventive, and scientifically sound—integrating conventional clinical evidence with a functional understanding of disease processes. By intervening early and treating the whole patient, I aim to help individuals achieve durable health outcomes while reducing the risk of preventable chronic disease.
